S Y M P H O N I E I I The Sembawang Symphonic Winds (SSW) was formed in February 2005 catering mainly to youths between the ages of thirteen and eighteen. Its formation is to encourage community service through music making. With the support and guidance from the Sembawang Wind Orchestra (SWO) and the Sembawang Community Club, SSW envisions to create an environment fostering music appreciation and awareness, in the process enhancing creativity and thinking skills.The Sembawang Symphonic Winds participated in the recent 1st National Band Competition, and is honoured to be awarded the Gold award as well as the overall champion for the 2nd Division adjudication. We are proud to present our second annual concert "Symphonie II" with an array of wind band and solo works performed by our very own musicians from SSW and SWO performing in both the matinee and evening concerts.As part of our community series programme, we are delighted to have our guest bands, Presbyterian High School Symphonic Band and Republic Polytechnic Wind Symphony, performing with us in the matinee concert.The information is as follows:-DATE: 22nd December 2006, Friday TIME: 1.30pm (Matinee Concert), 7.00pm (Evening Concert) VENUE: Victoria Concert Hall
