The Odysssey

It was a damn tiring day yesterday. Woke up at 8am for Math remedial. It went quite smoothly, managed to leave at 10.45, hah. Then walked home after it ended.

At 12.30, went back to school for band. We had sectionals until 3.30, then we went up to band room for main band.

At 6pm+, Edward, Gavilan, Shermann, Joseph, Gerald and i walked to the Hougang Mrt Station and then we went on the NEL to Dohby Ghaut.

Ok i know this is a boring post but i don't want to type much now, so i shall enrich your minds by showing you the photos i have taken on the way :D

Outside the MRT station

Edward, act cool pose (nah, he always stands like that)

Shermann talking to Gavilan

Gerald...

Me. (due to the fact that there have been complains of me posting other people's pictures,
but not my own)

Joseph. I wonder what he's staring at?

Shermann was telling everyone about how the Vegetable Orchestra's instruments would be cut up and thrown into soup and then served to the audience at each performance. Imagine drinking something that contains other people's saliva!

Our destination, Victoria Concert Hall

See that stuffed toy leaning against the conductor's stand? That's a present from the band to Mr. Darence Leng :D That's Bubbles from PPG anyway.

After the concert, Gerald and i went back while the rest went to suntec to eat.

We had the first band practice of the holidays today. Woodwinds down at the foyer and Brasses up in the band room. Halfway through warm-up at 2.30, i left to meet with Ramesh (the agent from Future Print Pte Ltd.). Working with him was quite fun. He's a website designer for Future Print and a freelance designer for himself. And he said he earned enough a month to buy a car. So we edited some things on photoshop on my laptop and then transfered all the files to his thumbdrive. We sat down there for 2 1/2 hours. -.-;

Then just when we finished, the laptop went into standby because the the battery when out, hah! Lucky right?

After band we went to McDonalds to eat. I miss those days where we played soccer together everytime after band >__>

I made a new signature for a forum i'm in. I'll post it here for fun :D

It is rumoured that Sony is going to be turning the novel, Angels & Demons to a movie. It will be a sequel to The Da Vinci Code. Actually, The Da Vinci Code takes place after Angels & Demons. A&D is Dan Brown's third book and TDVC is his fourth. I hope it's not NC16 again! >__>"

After P.E lesson today, we had our first post-exam activities, well sort of... All the Sec 2 Express students had to go down to the school hall for some talk about taking certain subjects for our O' levels. Music, D&T and F&N. Theres another one tomorrow for History and Geography too. Damn boring la! I suspect even the teachers in charge of the classes were bored too. One of them had her eyes close. Matthew says Mr. Wu (our VP) looks like a japanese officer from WWII. Now that i think of it, he kind of does.

Today one of Mr. Sukit's friend came down to help our band. Well, the French Horn section. He's played the horn for 19 years leh. His horn also very nice, he said it cost $10,000. His name is Casiwat or something like that. But he said just to call him Note, cause that's his nickname.
At one point when we were practising Sousa! during sectionals, there was a phrase that were for all horn parts. Melvin could play it, but the problem was when we all played together, when he listened to us play, he would get it wrong. So Note plug Melvin's ears with his fingers, then that was the solution, haha.

---

Note : So why did you choose the horn?
Melvin : Dunno.
Note : What instrument did you want to play when you joined band?
Melvin : Anything.
Note : Why did you join band?
Melvin : Dunno.
Note : ......

Thanks to Hafiz for the With Heart and Voice score. :D

Outrage

We've gotten our Montfiesta IX tickets to sell. I can't seem to find anyone to sell them to though, besides my family. I asked many of my classmates, but almost of them gave the same reply ; "Pay for me then i go la", "You performing ah? Don't want", "NO."

Zhi Guo had to apologize in front of the band today. He supposedly defamed our band infront of his classmates by telling them not to attend M9. Too bad the teacher taking his class at the time was a band teacher. He said he would amend by helping to sell many more tickets. Let's hope he does, cause i sure don't want to see a 1/2 or 3/4 filled hall.

I went to collect the 256mb memory stick puo duo i ordered recently today during recess. When i went there, the guy said he left it in his van and had to go take and asked me to wait 5 minutes. I waited nearly 10 minutes la, then when i got it, i rushed up the stairs to my math class(top floor!). I nearly got scolded by Ms. Yap for being late. And she's not one to be reckoned with -.-;;

Outside the school gates.

We watched Day after Tomorrow during Geography lesson today.

Today some guy from Karadora Pte Ltd came to our school. There were all sorts of IT stuff brought here (HDD, MP4, Mouse, Keyboard, Memory Cards, USB cables etc.). Anyway i ordered a 256mb Memory Stick Pro Duo for $39. I have been thinking of buying one for some time now so i just decided to buy it when i saw it. It's to be collected on Monday during recess. I can finally store many songs and photos in my phone!

After that Mrs Vivian Tan, Gerald, and me went to meet with the vendors for the M9 booklet to discuss on the design. They are from Future Print Pte Ltd, i think.

Then at 2.50, i went to the comp. lab for the LEAD course thingy. I think it's a waste of time and money. It's sort of a site where teachers assign us work online. At least there's a forum, unlike moreatonce.

The poster for Montfiesta 9 is out and has been posted all around school. Can anyone spot the spelling mistake in it?

Montfiesta IX is in about a month. Can't wait! :D

I just realised that many Sec 1s want to quit band, or already quit. Like both my juniors. They claim that band is too stressful for them, and that the song is too hard. Well, March Together is hard, considering the fact they have had only 2 months of practice.

Band Practices are going to be tougher from now on. Once the holidays begin, they'll be 4 days of practice a week. And they we'll be at least four hours each.

I got back three papers today : Geography, Literature and Science.

I got A1 for Geography(CA1+SA1) , the total percentage was 78.1%

I failed Literature. Cause i didn't read the question properly. In one question, we were suppose to write stuff about a character we like and dislike in the lit text (animal farm). Instead, i only wrote about the one i disliked. Got D7 ( 45%).

Science - B3 (67%)
Might have gotten an A2 if i didn't make so many careless mistakes.(spelling errors, wrong shading) >__>

Bleah! I am soo not pleased with my MYE results so far -

English - B3 (68.0%)
Math - F9 (...%)
Chinese - F9 (37.14%)
D & T - A1 (76.0%)

Pathetic results. I should start preparing for the EOY exams right away.

I went to JB with my parents and Gerald today. We decided last minute this morning cause i was so bored.

We just shopped around for a few hours, nothing much though. I bought the Chrnonicles of Narnia VCD at a popular bookstore. Hey it was cheap. :D

Then we went to eat at some streetside shophouse. After which we went home.

The art paper today, was well...okay. The overall result turned out good, so i don't think i need to worry.

I went home to change and use com awhile, then at around 12.30, i left for hougang station gerald.
We met Daric and Beng Liang first. Then awhile later Wee Ong, Ignatius and Junxiang came. Ignatius was wearing the montfort badminton team jacket. It's quite cool la.

We got on the train but then we alighted at Potong Pasir to wait for Ivan and Jing Rui. Then when two trains past, Jing Rui got down and it turned out Ivan was already in the train -.-;; So we wasted another 5 minutes waiting for another train.

We went to Cineleisure. We saw some 2e3 guys and they were going to watch MI3. My group wanted to watch When a stranger calls but gerald and i didn't so went bought tickets and joined the 2e3 people. But then we were late for the show by a few minutes cause Gerald had the tickets and we went in the wrong room... That's when we realised it was the wrong one. So we hurried to the right room.

MI3 ended at 3.55. Around the same time as the 2.15 When a stranger calls, so me and gerald met up with the rest. We spent half an hour pondering about where to go eat. Then Ignatius, Beng Liang, Junxiang and Daric went to KFC while Ivan, Jing Rui, Wee Ong, Gerald and me went to taka's Seoul Garden.

It's expensive la. Don't know whether i ate $26 worth of food there, heh. Now i'm broke. We spent 1 and a half hour there anyway. Long right?

I want to watch X-Men III : The Last Stand and Pirates of the Caribbean : Dead Man's Chest.
Anyway, if we book tickets for NC16 movies online, will they still check our age?

Math Paper 2 was terrible. I left out half the questions blank.

After the paper just now, i went to Mcdonalds with Micheal, Zhi Ping and Shannon for to eat. Then after that we walked to Shannon's house. It's a mansionate too, cool right? Then watched them play Gunbound. The last time i played was Pri. 6, but i haven't seem to lost my skill, heh. The reason i went there was cause i wanted to play Gundam Seed Battle Assault 3, but then in the end Shannon said using the PS2 will use up a lot of electricity, -.-;; Anyway, he has a lot of models in his room too. At around 2pm, we left his house, then i walked to hougang interchange with Zhi Ping. He then walked home while i went in the hougang station. Added value to my ez-link then took the train back home.

Them playing Gunbound.

Hah! I got you first, Shannon!
