happy happy new year's eve
Let's see, its 3 hours to the new year, 2007.
It has been a great year, i think.
Yes yes, resolutions...
- Good grades next year - To get along with my classmates next year - Learn to gliss properly - Learn flutter tongue - Learn to double/triple tongue - Pitch High A and notes above comfortably - Play the trumpet reasonably well - Learn more music theory - Not to lost my phone again - Spend less on unnecessary stuff
Oh, and my parents got me a new phone, a w810i. Thanks a lot! :D
School starts this coming wednesday. Well, band practice is something to look forward to, I guess.
Bye.Labels: new year, resolutions Posted at 9:01 PM

It's Aaron Tan's 15th Birthday
Hmm, I'm proud to announce to the world that i have just lost my K750i phone.
Congratulations to the lucky guy who found it on the train and decided not to answer my calls and instead just turning it off.
----------
Alright. Today morning i woke up at 11am. Bathed and got ready to leave for Hougang MRT to meet Aaron and the others.
I SMSed Aaron to make sure, and guess what. He postponed to outing to 2pm. Bleah, what if i didn't message him. I'd probably be waiting there like an idiot for who knows how long.
At 2pm, Gerald and I met with Aaron and Joshua and the MRT station. Oh, and thanks for the christmas present Aaron. ABBA Gold CD, haha. We then took the train all the way to Bugis. There, we met Fikri. Got tickets for Deathnote 2 and went to Burger King to eat.
Then, we went up to the cinema and met Chloe and Jie Yi. After buying our food, we went in. The movie was, great. Except that the ending is different from the manga's. Anyhow, i still prefer the first movie.
Next, we headed to Shaw Tower for dinner. We ate at some vegetarian restaurant there.
After eating, Chloe and Jie Yi went to Bugis Street, while the rest of us went to Bugis junction to shop. Got a pencil case from 77th street and a handphone strap from mu-ee. Gerald bought a wallet from the wallet shop.
We went home after that.Labels: handphone, life Posted at 11:26 PM

Hmm, Christmas at home, as usual. How boring.
It's like everyone else is out having fun with their friends and families.
Well, off to band chalet tomorrow.
Melvin's dad will be picking me up at 3pm, i suppose.

Symphonie II, a brilliant success
Its finally over.
I guess the 3+ months of practice have paid off.
Now, i have officially performed at 4 concerts, haha.
Alright, now from the beginning.
Woke up at 6.45am today, did all the usual stuff and left for Sembawang CC. My parents fetched us (including Joshua and Alif) there.
There, we brought all the instruments to the lorry waiting outside. Around 8.30am, we boarded the bus to Victoria Concert Hall. RPWS and PHSSB were already there when we arrived. We brought up everything from the lorry up to the hall and watched PHSSB rehearse. Next was RPWS, SWO, and then our turn.
The rehearsal at 12.50pm. We got changed and went to eat our lunch of chicken rice. So we hung around waiting for the other bands to finish playing their songs. After SWO's Symphonic Variants, we went back to get ready.
At last, it was our turn the perform. It was great! And the soloists were brilliant. After the afternoon concert, SWO had their rehearsal before the evening performance. After that, we went through La Passio De Christ. Free time until 6.50. Again, we went to eat and then hang around.
At 7pm,I went down out of boredom since SSW had free time until the intermission. Happened to see Jeremy Chan and Melvin and brought them up. Later on, Aaron, Gladys, Kenneth, Si Yuan, Yi Huan, Darian, and Shirly came. Too bad they were late, so they missed Concerto for Flute in D. Sat down with them until Symphonic Variants.
And then, La Passio De Christ. The feeling was damn great la, especially at the end. After that, we had a special Piano and Flute duet by Shirley and Kai Yi respectively. After that was the encore, Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer. It was totally unexpected la, i didn't even know we had an encore piece. So had to share scores with Kenneth and Sean. I played only the first page cause it was too hard to see from so far away.
After everything, we packed up and brought the instruments back to the lorry. Later, we went to eat with the all the people whom all the people mentioned above whom i met just before the evening concert expect Jeremy Chan. So we took the underpass from the MRT station was walked to Lau Pa Sat. At 11.40, we took the train back. We managed to get to the last train heading for Punggol just in time.
Well, thanks to everyone who came to support us yesterday.
Cya!

Eragon
Today, i went to watch Eragon at Lido with Gladys, Aaron, Gerald, Joshua, Marvin, Marcus, and Benedict.
Left home at 1pm with Gerald and went to Joshua's house. It was raining heavily again, so we had to take the sheltered path to Hougang MRT.
So, we met up with Gladys at Orchard MRT, and went up to Lido to buy tickets.
Since Aaron and his cousin's were not there yet, we got 4 more tickets for them. Total cost was $52, haha. Next, we walked around the supermarket area looking for food. Oh, Gladys bought a Salmon Onigiri.
After more walking around, we went up to the top level for lunch at KFC. It's like i've been eating that for 3 days already. After eating, i went down to the MRT to fetch them up.
Bought popcorn and entered the cinema. Anyway, i must say the movie was great. Obviously there'll be a sequel to this trilogy.
After the movie, we went to Taka's Kinokuniya to look around. Once again, Joshua was caught taking pictures where he was not supposed to.
Later, we took the train back home.

Christmas Concert
Hi.
Yesterday was YCKSB's Christmas Concert.
At 2.30pm, Joshua came to my house. He played MapleSEA on my computer. Then at 4pm, we left for Buangkok Station. We met Aaron on the train to City Hall.
There, we went to Suntec City and ate at KFC. After eating, we went to Raffles City to meet up with Fikri.
The walk to VCH was well, wet. All 5 of us had to squeeze between 2 umbrellas, lol. When we arrived, Alif and Cheng Fu were already there. Soon, Aaron Ng came.
At 7.15pm, we went in. Montfort 1 row, the rest 1 row. Only Fikri extra, haha. The concert was started off with Horn Concerto in C Minor OP.8 by Franz Struass, followed by Serenade for Clarinet and Band by Alfred Reed, Concerto for Timpani and Band by Gordon Jacob, and then the intermission. We saw Gideon with his cousins there.
After the intermission, there was a piano solo of Canon, then a Saxophone Quartet, followed by a Percussion Ensemble.
After those, it was the Alumni band's turn to perform. They played Algemiz by Ferrer Ferran, and Christmas Memories by John Berry.
Then, back to the main band. Overture to a Winter Festival by James Curnow, Moorish Pirates - The Bridge of Stone by Andres Valero-Castells, and lastly, Symphonie Fantastique (4th Movement : March to the Scaffold) by Hector Belioz.
After the concert, we ran to the Arts Museum for shelter. When the rain started to subside, we walked to the MRT station. Taking Yuko's 'shortcut', it ended up to be a 'longcut', bleah.
Took the train back with Joshua, Gerald, and Aaron. Reached home at 12+.

What a day.
It's really boring being cooped up at home.
Lets see, i spent the whole day,
- Watching TV - Playing Battlefield 2 - Playing the new Keyboard
Ok, not quite. The night's still young, haha.
Probably going down to school tomorrow to help the librarians.
Let's hope the band room will be open.Labels: life, random Posted at 8:33 PM
